One Thousand Museum Drawings Project

I chose to do the 1000 observational from the V&A, The Museum of Childhood, The Science Museum and The Hunterian Museum. I enjoyed drawing from the The Science most. The objects lended themselves better to what i enjoy drawing, because of this the drawings look stagnant and not expressive enough. I then visited the V&A from this I wanted to draw as many different object as i could. Through this variety I felt that my hand loosened up. Lines became most confident and picked up more detail. The next step was to add colour and work tone into the drawings. At The Hunterian I used tone as there are many glass jars and it was a challenge to do so. I chose to colour at the museum of childhood for the obvious reason that the toys in the place contain a lot of colour. Although probably being nowhere near the 1000 mark, and the fact that 1000 drawings feels like 1000000000000. I have enjoyed the brief and feel my observation skills have definitely improved.
